About ArtMole

What is ArtMole
Historically art has been limited by the bound of its artist's location. The internet era has exploded supporting many industries and art has now come of age, allowing aspiring artists the chance to share, inspire and enrich each other across the globe. The artistic "solitary confinement" experienced by the artists of ArtMole motivated the building of this electronic community and we now have the choice of maintaining our seclusion in the site or sharing in group forums. It is an online virtual marketplace for Artists & Art lovers to display and sell their art works in all their forms. ArtMole is a customized Art Portal that allows Artists & art dealers, buyers, art patrons and supporters to traverse the same virtual space to buy and sell limited reproduction art. It provides opportunities for viewing art at a virtual gallery, conducting income generating business, sharing ideas and building connections between artists and their environment. However, ArtMole changes the scope of this activity from local to global!

You do not need to be a savvy business person or a marketing genius or indeed an art connoisseur! All you need to be is computer literate! Let ArtMole take your art work & your passion for art from the far flung corners of the world and display it at a central place that is accessible world wide. All you have to do to experience the ArtMole experience, is to register for a free trial membership and when you are happy with your experience, and are looking for serious space to showcase your work globally through the ArtMole portal, pay an initial membership fee to register and in return you get:-.

How does ArtMole work
ArtMole will accept art in all its forms but only for limited editions reproduction art. Artists need to upload their high resolution images via the internet or are welcome to mail a disk containing the high resolution image files (subject to artist authorization). Once the High Resolution file is uploaded, the thumbnail image is automatically generated, you add any descriptive information about the pieces and set the price. Artist & art seller will be able to login, edit, and remove pieces. The artist defines pricing for all of their reproduction art displayed for sale on the ArtMole portal, at time of upload and publishing of their art. Any pricing defined by the artist at this time is the exact amount that the artists will receive, less any discounts that an artist may have allowed at time of upload and publishing their art, in the event of a sale of their art. This offers the artists a rich and more flexible capability of art management.

How does ArtMole reproduce the images
ArtMole prides itself as a growing premier provider of limited reproduction art across a selection of archival quality media, printed using our in-house pigment based printing facilities. Each reproduction is individually quality assured before it leaves our facilities and all media and inks that we use are of an archival nature. ArtMole has developed an imaging reproduction and operational process to support ArtMole customers and Artist. From an Artist’s/ Gallery perspective it ends at the point the customer is satisfied with the goods and payment is processed to the Artist’s/ Gallery account within Artmole for payment.

The printing process that we employ uses a Hi-Fi JET Pro II printer from Roland that offers what is said to be the best digital print quality in the industry. This printer exploits the unique variable droplet technology, which enables it to print at 1440x1440 dpi resolution and precise media movement. Its wide format inkjet printer is ideal for producing fine art reproductions, photography and colour proofs..

Searchable catalogue - the online art portal is searchable by artist name, type, medium, price, subject matter and keyword.
Blogs - ArtMole allows individual artists as well as gallery and museum agents to create and manage their blogs.
Art Event calendar - artists may post dates, times and locations of any gallery showings.

Who is ArtMole and why
ArtMole is a web based portal design emanating from the lived experiences of a group of people who use art, work with art, understand the importance of art and are artists - graphic designers, photographers, sculptors, art patrons, web designers, painters. It reflects the aspirations & desire for innovation of a group of people who want to produce a tool that can provide a venue for art and art lovers to come together to peruse, to conduct business and to build new and unique partnerships.

The multinational background of the designers and owners of ArtMole and working on the assumption that life inspires art, their greatest motivation for creating this Art Portal was to provide an opportunity to connect life & art in remote regions of the world & artists living in obscurity to the great metropolitan & commercial hubs across the globe. ArtMole is particularly envisaged as a site for showcasing & trading incredible artistic work that is taking place in Asia, Africa, Middle East, South America, Eastern Europe in North American, European & other growing urban markets. Based in North America but working across continents, the originators of ArtMole understand that not only exposure but also lack of income generating opportunities often stifles innate artistic talent particularly in the global south. Thus, ArtMole originators combined their international vision, collective business acumen with artistic genius to produce a tool for access & connection! They have taken the maxim of 'global village' to bring the globe to the village!
